The body of a child, Ali Hasan al Taktouk, was found near a farm in al Mankouba village north of Manbej city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, on February 2, 2022. The body bore marks from torture.
The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces, although SNHR has so far been unable to conclusively identify the party responsible for this murder. Since the controlling forces bear responsibility for investigating such crimes and detecting the perpetrators and have launched no such investigation in this case, however, this raises suspicions of the group’s involvement in the murder.
