Three young children, siblings Samira, Fatima, and Mohammad Alwan, were victims of the massacre in a missile strike carried out by an unidentified perpetrator on a bustling, crowded area in the center of Afrin city in the north of Aleppo governorate on January 20, 2022.
SNHR is still investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators; we believe that it was carried out either by Syrian regime forces or Syrian Democratic Forces, as the bombardment emanated from an area under the control of these parties.
