A girl from Fatouma Village of al Yaroubiya Town in the northeastern suburbs of Hasaka Governorate, Sidra al Muntaha Ahmad Melhem, born in 2006, was abducted by members of the Syrian Democratic forces in the town for conscription on January 14, 2022, and taken to one of their recruitment centers.
SNHR confirms that the girl’s parents weren’t made aware of the situation, and they weren’t allowed to visit her or communicate with her. We fear her involvement in direct or indirect military operations and stress that around 156 children are still conscripted in the Syrian Democratic forces’ camps.
