Two boys, a 16-year-old, named as Muhammad Faisal al Eisa, from Talafeh village in the south of Aleppo governorate, and a 17-year-old, named as Ali al Eidou, from al Sahn village, also in Aleppo governorate, were killed on January 12, 2022 by an explosion of an unidentified cause of a fuel tank in al Eidou Gas Station in Kafr Lousin village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate. The blast caused a huge fire in the station, resulting in severe damage. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
We condemn all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians, and call on the governing forces in every area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
