Two men from Taybet al Imam city in the northern suburbs of Hama governorate, named as Abdul Mun’em Ahmad al Jneid and Abdul Aziz Hussein al Fattamah, were killed on January 7, 2022 by an explosion whose cause hasn’t yet been identified inside a shop in the city. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses and survivors to obtain more details of the incident.
We condemn all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians, and call on the governing forces in every area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
