A 12-year-old boy, named as Mou’taz Mahmoud al Maqsous, from al Malaja village in south of Idlib governorate, was shot dead on December 30, 2021, by a Syrian regime sniper while he was in Kherbet al Naqous village in Sahl al Ghab in the western suburbs of Hama governorate.
SNHR notes that Syrian regime forces have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
