A man from al Swaimera village in the suburbs of Suwayda governorate, named as Akram Ihsan Amer, was shot dead by gunmen whose identities haven’t yet been revealed in Shahba city in the governorate’s suburbs which are controlled by Syrian regime forces.
We condemn all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians, and call on the governing forces in every area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
