A windstorm hits areas in northwest Syria on December 1, 2021, with a number of tents being blown over or completely collapsing and IDPs’ property being damaged in around 13 of the camps spread across the area, exposing displaced persons to further suffering.
SNHR calls on international relief organizations to provide the camps’ residents with urgently needed essential provisions immediately and to provide the camps’ administration of with a number of tents for emergency cases, and once again renew our condemnation of the arbitrary Russian veto which prevents the delivery of aid via al Salamah Syrian-Turkish borders, obstructing the delivery of essential humanitarian aid.
