A child, named as Muhammad Abdou Bouzou, from Kafr Dalla which is administratively a part of Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was abducted on November 15, 2021, by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel in al Shahbaa area in the north of the governorate and taken to one of their conscription camps.
SNHR notes that no member of the child’s family was informed of his arrest and that he was prevented from contacting his family, who are not allowed to visit him. SNHR fears that he will be forced to engage directly and indirectly in military operations, and confirms that around 113 children are still detained for forced conscription in the SDF’s camps.
