A child from al Qameshli city in the northeastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, named as Ahmad Abdul Baqi Rammou, born in 2005, was conscripted by Syrian Democratic Forces and enlisted in one of their training camps in the governorate on August 12, 2021.
SNHR notes that none of the child’s family members were informed of his conscription and he was prevented from contacting his family, who are banned from visiting him. SNHR fears that he will be enrolled directly and indirectly in military operations. We can confirm that the SDF has conscripted at least 113 children in its camps.
