A displaced child, named as Ahmad al Nouneh, from al Latamena town in the northwestern suburbs of Hama governorate died on July 23, 2021, when a fire broke out due to misuse of cooking appliances in his family’s tent in al Rawda IDP Camp, part of the larger al Karama group of camps in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate.
SNHR calls on international relief organizations to provide the camp’s residents with urgently needed essential provisions immediately, and to provide the camp administration with a number of tents for emergency cases.
