Unidentified gunmen blew up the gas pipeline in Talet al Hjeif in Badiya (desert area) of Ayyash village in the western suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, using IEDs, severely damaging the pipeline and rendering it inoperable on July 22, 2021 The area is controlled by Syrian regime forces.

SNHR notes that the pipeline linking al Jabasa factory in al Shaddadi city in the south of Hasaka governorate and Banyas refinery in Tartus governorate while we are still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.

We condemn the attack on the pipeline, call on the controlling forces to conduct investigations into all such incidents and hold perpetrators accountable.
