Unknown gunmen used an IED to blow up an irrigation water pumping station in Be’ir al Hashm village in the western suburbs of Raqqa governorate, severely damaging the station and rendering it inoperable on July 17, 2021.
The village is controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces, with SNHR still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns the attack on the station, and calls on the controlling forces to conduct investigations into all such incidents and hold the perpetrators accountable.
