A policeman, named as Walid Muhammad al Asaad, was killed on June 21, 2021, when a police station affiliated with the Salvation Government in west of Ihsem town in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate was attacked with shells whose origin haven’t been identified as of this writing. The primary parties suspected of responsibility for the attack are the Russian forces and Syrian regime forces, with the attack emanating from an area controlled by them. The investigation process is still underway to identify the party responsible for the attack.
SNHR notes that the attack caused the deaths of two fighters who were detained in the station, in addition to inflicting severe damage on the station building’s structure.
