A 14-year-old boy, named as Ahmad Ali Saleh al Yousef al Sheikh Eisa, from al Fadghami village in the south of Hasaka suburbs, was shot dead on May 18, 2021, when Syrian Democratic Forces personnel opened fire on protesters taking part in a peaceful demonstration in Hasaka city’s al Nashwa neighborhood against a decision issued by SDF to raise fuel prices in areas under their control.
SNHR notes that the Syrian Democratic Forces have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
