A man, named as Maher Hamid al Enezi, from al Terwaziya village which is administratively a part of Tal Abyad city in the northern suburbs of Raqqa governorate, died on April 19, 2021, due to wounds inflicted on April 18, 2021, when Syrian Democratic Forces’ personnel opened fire at him while he was passing by one of their checkpoints near the village under the pretext that he had not stopped at the checkpoint.
SNHR notes that the Syrian Democratic Forces have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrators must be held accountable.
