The body of a Civil Police staff member, named as Muhammad Jum’ah al Akkoun, from Tadef town in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was discovered near Suosyan village in east Aleppo governorate on April 15, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the civilian’s killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
