The bodies of two refugee Iraqi civilians, named as Ayman Raed Rashid al Saleh and Abdullah Ragheb al Marbat, both aged 20, were discovered by local families in Section Three of al Hawl IDP Camp near al Hawl Camp in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on March 15, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.
SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for their killings while the area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
