The bodies of two refugee Iraqi men, named as Khader Ahmad Abdul Salam and Haitham Abdul Salam, aged 24 and 25 respectively, who were living in al Hawl IDP Camp near al Hawl town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka suburbs, were discovered by local families in Section One of the camp on March 10, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.

SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for her killing. The area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
