A man from Theyban town in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, named as Su’oud Khallouf al Taha, was shot dead on February 11, 2021, by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel during a raid they carried out on the river crossing which links the SDF-controlled area and the Syrian regime-controlled area in the town’s al Latwa neighborhood.
SNHR notes that the Syrian Democratic Forces have committed another violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
