The bodies of two men, named as Abdul Majid al Jum’ah and Muhammad Tamer, were discovered by local families near Izaz city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on February 11, 2021, with Muhammad’s body bearing signs of brutal torture.
SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for their killing, the area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
