Body of 30-year-old refugee civilian from Iraq, named as Farouq Khalaf Hardan, who was living in al Hawl IDP Camp near al Hawl town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, was discovered by local families in Section One of the camp on February 5, 2021, bearing sings of gunshot wounds.
SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the Farouq’s killing, with the area controlled by the SDF. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
