The body of a displaced woman from Aleppo city, identified as 35-year-old Souzan Abdullah al Shami, was discovered bearing signs of gunshot wounds in Section Six of al Hawl IDP Camp located near al Hawl town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on January 29, 2021.
SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the woman’s killing, with the area controlled by the SDF. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
