A man from Shin town in the northern suburbs of Homs governorate, named as Hasan al Jihan, was shot dead on December 19, 2020, by Syrian regime forces personnel while he was passing on a motorcycle near a checkpoint at the entrance to Shin town, with the regime personnel shooting him under the pretext that he had not stopped at the checkpoint.
SNHR notes that the Syrian regime forces have committed a violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing, for which the perpetrator must be held accountable.
