A 10-year-old girl, named as Sahar Muhammad Ra’ed Hihanou*, was killed while two other children were injured in an explosion of so-far undetermined type and origin in al Gharbi neighborhood in Jisr al Shoghour city in the western suburbs of Idlib governorate on November 29, 2020, SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all explosions which target civilians through indiscriminate killing and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control and to conduct investigations and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition toward democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.


* In accordance with information received previously, we reported earlier that a girl who was killed by a blast of unknown type and source in Jisr al Shoghour in Idlib suburbs on November 29, 2020, was called Samar Muhammad Deeb Hihanou. On further investigation, we have discovered that her name is Sahar Muhammad Ra’ed Hihanou, and have edited this news accordingly on November 30, 2020.
