Unknown gunmen blew up a gas pipeline in the Badiya (deserted area) of Abu Khashab village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate using IEDs on November 25, 2020, severely damaging the pipeline and causing a massive fire. As a result, the pipeline was put out of service. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
We condemn the attack on the gas pipeline and call on the Syrian Democratic Forces, who control that area, to carry out an investigation and hold the perpetrators accountable.
