A baby girl from al Boukamal city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, named as Eleen al Akleh, died on November 25, 2020, due to wounds sustained on November 24 when an explosion of undetermined type and origin took place in al Bab city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, resulting in a massacre. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses and survivors to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians in such a brutal and indiscriminate manner, and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
