The body of a man from Hasaka city, named as Adnan al Laili, was discovered by locals in al Nashwa al Gharbiya neighborhood in Hasaka city on October 12, 2020, bearing signs of gunshot wounds. The area is controlled by the SDF, with SNHR so far unable to identify the party responsible for the killing up to the time of writing. Although the controlling forces bear responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation, which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
