Syrian Democratic Forces personnel carried out a raid on a water purification station in al Sh-heil city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate on August 13, 2020, destroying and sabotaging the pumps, control panels, monitoring devices and other vital equipment. As a result, the station has been out of service ever since.
SNHR condemns the attack on the station and call on the SDF to bear the responsibility for the attack and to carry out an investigation in order to identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
