Six civilians, including three members of the Civil Police, were killed when a car bomb of so-far unknown origin exploded at a checkpoint on the Syrian National Army near the entrance of Tal Halaf town which is administratively a part of Ras al Ein city in the northwestern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on July 30. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses and survivors to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks which target and kill civilians and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in areas under their control, and to conduct investigation and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving political transition towards democracy implemented according a strict timetable.
