A woman from al Hawayij village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, named as Athraa Abdul Hamid al Khayer, was killed when Syrian Democratic Forces opened fire randomly at homes in the village following a protest that took place there on August 4, 2020. SDF have committed another violation of international humanitarian law with this indiscriminate killing and the perpetrator must be held accountable.
