The body of Osamah Hadbeh, from Tal Ref’at city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate was discovered on July 21, 2020, by locals in farmland in the west of Izaz city also in the northern suburbs of the governorate. The area is currently under the control of the Syrian National Army. SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for Osamah’s death. Although the controlling forces in the area bear responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, the dominant party has not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of its involvement in the killing.
