A 14-year-old girl, Jacqueline Muhammad Ayyoub from Minas village in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was kidnapped for conscription by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel while she was standing in front of her village’s school on July 7, 2020, and taken to an undisclosed location.

SNHR notes that no member of the arrested girl’s family was informed of her arrest and she has been prevented from contacting her family, who are not allowed to visit her. SNHR fears that she will be forced to engage directly and indirectly in military operations, and confirms that around 86 children are still detained for forced conscription in the SDF’s camps.
