Hamoud Khleif Hamdou al Dallawi and the two brothers Hussein and Saleh Khalaf al Hasan, Fayez al Medlej and Majed Hussein al Eisa in addition to Abdul Muhsen Ali al Mesleh and Ahmad Ali al Musa al Awad whose photos haven’t been received, were all shot dead by unknown gunmen attacked their site where they shelter during their work in herding sheep in Badiya of Ghanem al Ali village which is administratively a part of al Sabkha town in the eastern suburbs of Raqqa governorate on June 16, 2020. SNHR is still trying to contact with witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.

SNHR condemns all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians, and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
