Ali Khaled Haidar from Ma’aret al Na’san village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate was shot dead on June 17, 2020, by a Syrian regime sniper while he was working on agricultural land near al Talhiya village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate. SNHR can confirm that this land belongs to civilians and is free of any military presence.

Syrian regime forces have committed a violation of international humanitarian law through this indiscriminate killing and the perpetrator must be held accountable.
