Nedal Shamdin al Atmeh, a dissident conscript from Syrian regime forces ranked Captain, from al Sanamayn city in the northern suburbs of Daraa governorate, was arrested on April 19, by members of Palestine Branch of Syrian regime forces after they called him to the branch in Damascus city. Nedal was among people agreed on a settlement earlier, SNHR notes that the arrest was without a legal arrest warrant issued by a court where no one of his family was informed of his arrest and his phone was taken preventing him to contact with his family or a lawyer. SNHR is afraid that he will be exposed to torture and became a forced to disappeared person like 85 percent of the detainees. SNHR notes about 130,000 detainees are still detained in detention centers of Syrian regime which constitutes a real threat on their fates within the spread of COVID-19 epidemic.
