Abdou Saqr, from Harasta city in Eastern Ghouta in east of Damascus suburbs governorate, was arrested in 2018, by Syrian regime forces as he was passing a checkpoint heading from Harasta to Damascus city. Abdou was among people agreed on a settlement earlier. On March 15, 2020, his family was informed that he is dead- when they referred State Security branch known as al Khatib Branch of Syrian regime forces. SNHR suggests that the torture is likely to be the cause of his death in a detention center.
