Muhammad Ali al Shukr, Nawras Abdullah al Tafesh, Ahmad Ali al Awad and Maher Suleiman al Dalli, dissident soldiers from Syrian regime forces, from Ghabagheb town in the northern suburbs of Daraa governorate, were arrested on January 31, 2019, when they turned themselves in Ghabagheb town after a presidential pardon of the fleeing soldiers in October 2018. On February 26, 2020, SNHR received information confirming their deaths due to torture in detention centers in Damascus city. We note tha Maher Suleiman al Dalli worked as a media activist.
