Rania al Halabi, an activist in the popular uprising and the director of activities center of Syrian Independent Kurds Association, from Damascus city, was born in 1974, was arrested on July 17, 2019, by gunmen of Military Police affiliated with factions from armed opposition as they raided her workplace in Afrin city in Aleppo governorate northern suburbs and taken to an undisclosed location.
