Abdul Basit Mamdouh al Sarout, former goalkeeper of Syria team for youth and al Karama Syrian Club, prominent activist in popular uprising, leader of many protests in the most areas as he was known by his enthusiastic songs, from al Bayyada neighborhood in the middle of Homs city, was born in 1992, died on June 8, 2019 in Turkish hospitals due to wounds sustained on June 6, 2019 as Syrian regime forces fired shells on the front of Tal Malah village in Hama governorate western suburbs, while he was participating in battles between Syrian regime and Jaish al Izza -a faction of armed opposition- which he recently joined. We note that Abdul Basit was injured several times previously and lost his four brothers during the popular uprising in Syria.
