Mohammad Khalil Khlaif was killed, on March 7, 2019, in the explosion of cluster munition remnants of pervious shelling by Syrian- Russian alliance forces on al Sheghr village, which is administratively a part of Jisr al Shoghour city in Idlib governorate western suburbs. Yet, the remnants of weapons constitute a real threat to civilians in the areas controlled by factions of armed opposition. SNHR has issued a number of reports on cluster munitions and remnants of weapons where we urged to have special equipment that helps civilians in removing explosive remnants.
